A well-informed and connected professional in the aesthetic laser business, Terry had some great thoughts about the business of aesthetic medical technology and shared his insight in the interview below:
Alma: What’s been the biggest surprise about the Aesthetic Industry?
Terry Provines: How much it’s grown! Over 20 years it has gone from a few practitioners to its own specialty. We have customers who are artists with body contouring or skin tightening. We have others who are experts at laser hair removal. It’s been a real pleasure to help people become involved in aesthetics and grow into experts.
Alma: What’s your favorite part about Alma Lasers especially compared to the other aesthetic medical laser companies?
Terry Provines: One of my favorite parts about Alma Lasers is the diversified product line and its quality. In 20 years, nobody has achieved the quality that we have. The fact that we give customers both upgradability and cost effective operation with no disposable is a huge victory.
Alma: It’s true, Terry, we have a number of competitive advantages in our portfolio that the other medical laser companies simply do not have. The product line works hand-in-hand with great customer service and an innovative approach to consumer outreach, all of which benefit our customers. What do you predict for the future?
Terry Provines: Consolidation – many aesthetic laser companies are limited in the products they offer. One thing that sets Alma apart is that we have a full range of products. We don’t need anybody to consolidate with.
