We’re proud of our Harmony XL cosmetic laser. We share many of its competitive advantages on this blog and encourage industry professionals to see it for themselves in live demonstrations. We’ve even been known to place the Harmony XL against other cosmetic lasers in side-by-side comparisons such as the Alma Lasers Challenge. In this blog and the series to follow, however, we’d like to brag about something else. It’s a topic near to our hearts and even more important than our product line – our customers.
Recently we posed the question, “Can a Cosmetic Laser Help Breast Cancer Survivors?” We asked this question as we began to announce the efforts of the Alma Community Network in helping breast cancer survivors this October. As medical professionals know, radiation therapists routinely mark patients with tattoos in order to accurately target the treatment area. This tattoo can become a constant reminder of the experience long after therapy is complete and the cancer has been defeated. So in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Alma Community network will help qualified* breast cancer survivors find a local provider offering laser tattoo removal – free of charge. We have to say, the many customers who jumped at the opportunity to put their cosmetic laser to work and participate in this endeavor touched us deeply.
Dr. Ed Zimmerman, an Alma Community Network provider and Alma luminary in Las Vegas, NV had this to say about the initiative:
“The number of family and friends we have that have been affected by breast cancer continues to grow almost daily. No one can know what these people have gone through, no matter how much we empathize. We can’t fix it or make it go away, but we can do (and are proud to do) this little part.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. After all, Well Being through Technology is the cornerstone of our cosmetic laser technology, our commitment and our company. So from all of us at Alma Lasers to Dr. Zimmerman and his team, we say thank you.
Consumers can reach Dr. Zimmerman at Main Line: 702-509-7380, 8930 West Sunset Road Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89148.
