How Cosmetic Lasers Build and Strengthen Community, II

Sometimes cosmetic lasers can seem like magical machines. After all, the right cosmetic laser in the hands of a talented professional can remove years of sun damage, decrease skin laxity and return someone’s youthful glow. Obviously, cosmetic lasers and the industry professionals who master them can do a lot to improve a person’s sense of well being. And you should know that starting October 1^st participating Alma Community Network locations are taking their cosmetic lasers and skills to a whole new level of service.

Here’s the story: radiation therapists routinely mark patients with tattoos in order to accurately target treatment areas. The tattoo remains even when treatment is complete and the cancer is defeated. In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Alma Community network will help qualified* breast cancer survivors remove these tattoos, and the memories they may trigger, through local Declare Your Freedom providers offering laser tattoo removal free of charge.

It’s a big undertaking, as you might imagine. An immense amount of time goes into coordinating a project of this size. Furthermore, the many Alma Community Network locations are providing the radiation tattoo removal service at no charge. So pardon us, for a moment, as we brag about another partner we’re very proud of: SONA, Newport News and SONA, Virginia Beach.

SONA has served the Virginia community for a number of years and both of these locations embraced the Declare Your Freedom project with the same enthusiasm and passion they bring to the aesthetic laser industry all year round. Hollie Lucas, Center Manager, said:
