Welcome back to the Alma Lasers blog, the number one place online to find the resources and technological information you need to build a successful aesthetic laser practice. Recently we spent some time with Bob Grant, an Alma Lasers professional managing laser sales for Denver, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Salt Lake City and surrounding area, Utah; Phoenix, Tucson, Arizona; Flagstaff, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Wyoming.
An industry pro, Bob shared some excellent thoughts about the business of aesthetic medical lasers and the future of aesthetic treatments.
Alma: What’s been the biggest surprise about the aesthetic industry?
Bob: How quickly consumers embraced cosmetic laser treatments. Early on, patients would not talk about their laser treatments. Now, patients seem comfortable telling their friends what treatments they had, what the outcome was like, whether or not it hurt… This is a real win for a practice, because word-of-mouth referrals can drive new patients. The acceptance factor probably explains why we see more and more aesthetic lasers out there. In the early days you would only see an aesthetic laser at a Plastic Surgeon’s or Dermatologist’s office. Now, laser treatments are offered by a larger segment and cosmetic lasers are a standard piece of equipment.
Alma: The aesthetic patient is very knowledgeable now. It was smart of us to brand our treatments such as Pain-Free, Hair-Free ™ with consumers. What’s your favorite part about Alma Lasers?
Bob: I work with great people. The Research and Development team is focused on the needs of the market and responds to those needs. Our aesthetic lasers have no consumables, for example, and this is because the market asked for cost-effective aesthetic lasers. Our Soprano XLi, an 810 Diode hair removal laser, is the latest answer to the market’s needs. The Soprano XLi provides speed as well as efficacy and it can treat all skin types. Everyone at Alma Lasers is hard-working and committed. The Technical Support and Logistics team ensure customers remain in operation and service is very committed to providing added value to our customers. Between the team and the technology, I am extremely proud of what I have to offer.
Alma: It’s a hard-working team, that’s for sure. What do you predict for the future?
Bob: The economy is on the rebound. We’re seeing it. Locations are getting busier and the consumers who postponed their treatments will be demanding them.
Alma: Thanks for your time, Bob. Anything else you’d like people to know about Alma Lasers?
Bob: We owe our growth and success to our family of customers. The majority of our new business comes from referrals. Not every aesthetic laser company can say that. We are very proud that we can.

Really interesting article post. Your post is extremely interesting. I enjoyed this article. This post is outstanding! I have to say that after continually reading awful as in, same old material, little quality content, etc. blog posts on other sites, it’s good to actually read something that has some thought put into it. It’s a pleasure to read well written blog posts, especially after continually seeing rehashed %$!# that writers and bloggers are throwing out nowadays. It’s always nice when I come across content that actually has value, I’ve been seeing a ton of subpar writing attempts recently. Anyhow, thanks again and I’ll check back frequently to see what else you have to offer. I’ll check back in the future to see what else you have up your sleeve. Keep up the fantastic work! BTW, I like your site design, but your header image was only loading half way for me. P.S. Your header is messed up a bit in IE. The problem could be on my end but I thought you might want to look into that.
